Position description
Temporary positions are anticipated for instructors to teach
courses in areas such as Companion Animal Care, Reproductive
Physiology, Physiology Reproductive Lab, Animal Nutrition, and
Dairy Cattle Production.
A list of the courses that may be available during 2024 - 2025
academic year are included. It is possible that courses may be
added to or deleted from this list as the year progresses.

Appointment Dates
Several appointments are made each year. The number of courses
assigned for each appointment may vary depending on type of course
and percentage of appointment. Service dates are:
Fall Quarter 2024: September 23 - December 13
Winter Quarter 2025: January 3 - March 21
Spring Quarter 2025: March 27 - June 12
Reappointment is possible upon demonstrated competence and based on
established criteria.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach one or more lecture courses in the Animal Science major.
teaching may also involve special observational projects or guest
speakers.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
Appropriate professional degree, minimum requirement is Masters at
time of appointment in Animal Science or equivalent discipline.

-Evidence of teaching excellence or potential for excellence;
and
-A developing record of scholarly or professional achievement in an
area of expertise
related to a subject area described in this announcement.
Preferred qualifications (other preferred, but not required,
qualifications for the position)
Ph.D. is preferred, e.g., Animal Science or equivalent
discipline
